AARNA Sunnyvale

Aarna has two salons: one on El Camino Real in Santa Clara and one on Hollenbeck Avenue in Sunnyvale. The Santa Clara salon is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10 AM to 6 PM, Thursday to Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 9 AM to 3 PM, closed Mondays. The Sunnyvale salon is open Tuesday to Thursday 10 AM to 6 PM and Friday and Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM, closed Sunday and Monday.

The Sunnyvale location is an Aveda exclusive salon and offers the full range of Aveda hair and skin services. Across both locations the salon carries natural and organic lines from Shankara Ayurveda and Eminence Organic Skin Care.

Services cover hair, skin, threading, waxing, make-up and henna. Skin services include organic facials, hair color is ammonia-free and made with organic ingredients, and threading can be done in an organic or natural style.

Booking is held by a credit card, which is also kept on file for same-day appointments. Appointments canceled 24 hours ahead are free; cancellations 12 to 24 hours ahead are charged 50% of the scheduled services, and cancellations within 12 hours or no-shows are charged in full. Same-day appointments can be canceled free up to 4 hours before, after which 50% is charged. The salon does not double book. Clients who arrive 15 minutes or more late may have their appointment shortened or rescheduled, which is not guaranteed, and a rescheduled late arrival carries a 50% charge. The salon says its card policy has nearly eliminated no-shows and last-minute cancellations, and it names client safety and satisfaction as its top priority.
