A Touch of A operates from the stylist's home in Charlotte, so every appointment takes place at that location rather than a commercial salon floor.

Clients are asked to arrive alone unless they are bringing a child for a service. The studio accepts children aged 7 and older. Parents are asked to tell the stylist ahead of time if a child has a tender scalp or needs extra care. A shampoo is included before every styling service, and clients are asked to choose add-ons for extra length, takedowns, treatments or anything else not covered by the base appointment. Clients should read each service description before booking.

Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 24 hours' notice, and no cancellation fee is charged. Repeated cancellations may limit future bookings. If the stylist has to cancel, the next open time is offered along with 10% off the rebooked service. Arrivals within 10 minutes of the start time are accepted, a $10 late fee is added to the service for arrivals later than that, and an appointment is canceled if the client arrives 20 minutes or more late. All services are nonrefundable. Clients who have concerns about their style are encouraged to raise them before leaving so adjustments can be discussed.
