A-List Wig Salon, also known as A-List Wig Salon of Kansas City, is in Overland Park, Kansas. The salon describes itself as the best wig store in Kansas City and says it carries the largest selection of wigs and toppers in the city. Its location is behind the Home Depot at 95th and Metcalf.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and is closed on Sunday and Monday. Appointments are strongly encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome, though scheduled appointments take priority. Clients who need a time outside regular hours can call, and the salon will try to accommodate them.

A visit usually begins with a complimentary wig or topper consultation, which takes a little over an hour. During it, the salon helps the client choose options, takes measurements for sizing, explains hair types and cap construction, lets the client try on pieces, and reviews how to care for the piece. The consultation covers the area that needs coverage, where a clip would sit, human hair versus synthetic, and matching texture and color.

The stock includes synthetic, Remy human hair and European human hair wigs and toppers, with more than 200 wig styles kept in house. Toppers come in a range of styles, colors, bases and lengths, whether the purpose is hair loss or fashion. Accessories include soft bamboo beanies, head coverings, sleep caps and wig care products. Brands carried include Raquel Welch, Gabor, Jon Renau, Rene of Paris, Noriko, Ellen Wille, Belle Tress, Estetica, House of European Hair, Belle Madame, Henry Margu, Tony of Beverly, Envy and Tressallure.

The salon makes custom human hair gray toppers and wigs that can be cut and colored to blend with a client's own gray. It also creates men's hair systems tailored to the look and lifestyle the client wants. The salon describes these systems as non-surgical and virtually undetectable. Men's consultations for hair systems must be booked by phone rather than online.

Wig and topper services are offered only for pieces bought from the salon, and pieces purchased elsewhere are not serviced. Wig services are scheduled by phone or email, and the online booking form is only for full consultations. The salon provides a medically coded receipt for wig purchases that clients can submit to health insurance; coverage depends on the provider and plan.
