Four women founded 4esthetics Lounge with the goal of raising the standard for medical aesthetics in Kentucky. The business describes itself as a women-owned med spa that is owned by a nurse practitioner. The first location opened in Lexington, and the St. Johns, Florida location, branded 4wellness, came later. Lexington is open Monday and Wednesday from 10 to 7, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 to 5, and on two Saturdays a month from 10 to 4, and it is closed Sundays. Free parking is available on site there. St. Johns keeps shorter hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Beyond injectables and skin care, the Lexington location offers medical weight loss, IV therapy, vitamin shots, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and peptide therapy. The St. Johns location focuses on IV hydration, vitamin shots, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, same-day acute health visits for sudden illnesses and minor injuries, and sports physicals for school, club and organized sports. IV hydration sessions typically last 30 to 60 minutes and can be combined with facials, massages or vitamin shots.

Sexual wellness treatments at Lexington use platelet-rich plasma, including an alPha-X shot for men and a pleasure pOp shot for women. Membership is joined through the rewards app and includes special rates and gift cards.

Treatment plans are personalized rather than cookie-cutter, with each client matched to a product and dose. Injectables, skin treatments and laser work are performed by certified professionals and overseen by nurse practitioners.
