Zarinah Clark

Zarinah Clark owns and operates Z.C. For Hair in Pinole, where she works as a Licensed Master Cosmetologist and a Certified Trichologist. She also works as a wellness practitioner, bringing cosmetology and trichology work together under one roof.

Her training began with a 1,800-hour cosmetology diploma from Miss Marty's Hair Academy and Esthetics Institute in San Francisco, completed in 2003. Her California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensure is dated 2005. Since then she has added many certifications, including an 18-month trichology certification from the American Academy of Hair and Scalp Diseases in 2019, a Holistic Practitioners of Trichology certification in 2022, and specialist certifications in Silkout (2018), Rëzo Cut (2021) and Cut it Kinky (2023). She has also completed continuing education through Trichologists on a Mission since 2021, and has taken classes in herbology, autoimmunity, balayage, and hair styling, cutting and coloring.

Her work centers on natural and tight-curl hair and on alopecia and scalp concerns, including several forms of hair loss. She specializes in Non-Surgical Hair Restoration and works one-on-one with clients on a customized plan that can include topical or supplement suggestions and periodic microscopic scalp checks. She can spot many forms of hair loss and scalp issues in their early stages.
