Wei Yuan

Wei Yuan is a managing acupuncturist at ACA Acupuncture & Wellness and holds an M.D. and a New York State acupuncturist license (L.Ac), with training in both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She spent ten years at Luoyang Hospital in China, starting as a resident and later serving as chief acupuncturist and instructor. She then did cancer research at Columbia University Medical School and worked for a decade as a research scientist at Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals before returning to acupuncture. Her practice draws on knowledge of basic medical sciences and drug toxicology. She is a certified practitioner and instructor of Field Control Therapy (FCT) and homeopathy, and she is certified in Clean Needle Technique by the CCAOM. She serves on the board of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists.
