About
Wally Taylor, MD runs the telehealth clinic at Forum Health Austin, where he practices as a functional and environmental medicine physician. Board-certified, he has spent more than 45 years caring for chronically ill patients of every age. He began in traditional ear, nose and throat medicine and surgery, including head and neck work, and later moved into environmental medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed a residency in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery and allergy at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He trained through the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) in tick-borne illness, including Lyme borreliosis and coinfections, and also has training in environmental medicine, functional medicine and Lyme disease through ILADS and the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. He holds certificates from the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is affiliated with the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and ILADS. His work centers on illness acquired from the environment, such as mold and mycotoxins, chemical sensitivity, electromagnetic exposure and tick-borne infections. He examines how exposures like ultra-processed food, synthetic chemicals, indoor mold, toxic metals, electromagnetic radiation and persistent infections may feed into complex chronic illness. Conditions he treats include Lyme disease, autoimmune disorders, Epstein-Barr virus, mold toxicity and heavy metal toxicity, including complex and undiagnosed cases. Clinical nutrition, regenerative medicine, allergies and anti-aging are also part of his practice. Visits take place by secure video from anywhere in Texas. He works with children and adults on helping the body heal and recover using its inherent ability to do so. He has appeared on the Health Hacks Podcast with Mark L. White to discuss environmental toxins. Patients have praised him for close attention to their symptoms and practical advice.
