Vito C. Quatela

Dr. Vito C. Quatela founded Q the Medical Spa, where he works as medical director. With more than 30 years in aesthetic facial surgery, his practice centers on facial rejuvenation. He holds certification from three boards: the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. His medical degree is from Northwestern University, and he earned a bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Rochester. His training also includes facial plastic surgery fellowships at Oregon Health Science University and Tulane University, an otolaryngology residency at Northwestern, and a general surgery residency at the Medical Center of Vermont. Quatela served as president of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies from 2021 to 2023 and now holds the role of immediate past president. He is also a former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For more than 20 years he has been a clinical associate professor at the University of Rochester, and he mentors fellows in the academy's program at the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery. He is a senior advisor to the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves yearly as an examiner for its exams. He supervises every procedure at the spa. In 2003 he founded the HUGS Foundation, a nonprofit offering free surgical care to children with congenital deformities in underserved countries, with yearly medical missions to Vietnam, Guatemala and Ecuador.
