Vinay Rawlani

Vinay Rawlani is a hair loss physician and hair transplant surgeon. He founded Northwestern Hair Restoration to concentrate solely on hair loss and restoration, and he has practiced in Chicago since 2009. His training includes plastic and reconstructive surgery at Northwestern University, where he was Chief Resident, plus time at the University of Chicago. He is board-certified in plastic surgery and in hair restoration. His clinical focus covers hair transplantation, non-surgical ACS treatment and medical hair loss care. He is known for women's hair restoration, which includes hormonal treatments, assessment for surgical candidacy, medical management and Adaptive Trichopigmentation, a method he co-developed with a colleague. He developed Micro PUE, a hair transplant technique, and ACS, a non-surgical treatment, and he brought Autologous Cellular Serum into hair restoration from orthopedic surgery. The practice describes him as the inventor of Micro PUE and says he is a two-time world record holder for hair transplantation and a past president of the International Hair Institute. According to the practice, he holds dual patent and trademark registrations and is a Louise E. Fazen Endowed Scholar at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Over more than a decade he has studied hairline proportion, face shape and how hair ages, and that work led to Timeless hairline design. He sees patients in person at the Deerfield clinic on rotation days and at the Clarendon Hills clinic, where medical follow-ups may be virtual or in person. He works with Dr. Kate Volmir at Lifelong Health so the medical workup of hair loss drivers happens alongside restoration consultations.
