Valerie

Valerie owns the salon and works as an expert stylist there, with more than 35 years behind the chair. She has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1983 and is Board Certified. She has served as a Redken Color Educator and as a Redken Professional Product Knowledge Specialist. Her training includes seminars and master classes in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. Continuing education includes Redken Exchange NYC, Redken Focus and Redken Symposium in Orlando, Beth Minardi color classes in New York and Orlando, a Roy Peters color class, Paul Mitchell color and cutting classes with Scott Cole and Linda Yodice, a Chris Barron cutting class and product knowledge training from Winn Claybaugh. Product knowledge training covers Kevin Murphy, Moroccan Oil, Phytologie, Pureology and Redken. She works toward natural-looking color and youthful styles while bringing out each client's best features. She considers desired style, hair density, texture, lifestyle, skin tone and budget before advising, and she teaches clients the products and techniques to recreate the look at home.
