Valerie Thurston

Valerie is the owner and hairstylist at Be Your Own Beautiful Studio. She has been a hairstylist since 1995. She worked for almost ten years at a salon in Harrisonville, Missouri, then for almost five years at a locally owned salon in Lee's Summit until it closed. She later worked at a salon in Downtown Lee's Summit, then joined a friend who had opened a new salon. After years in other salons, she opened her own studio.

While working at a Lee's Summit salon, she trained with several professional hair product companies. She continues to take ongoing education in hair color, cutting and hair extensions.

Her specialties are hair color, cuts and styling, hair extensions and keratin treatments. She aims to build long-term relationships with clients and focuses on each client's wants and needs. Her satisfaction comes from clients being happy with the end result.
