Valbona Kocaj (Val)

Valbona Kocaj is the owner stylist at Hair By Val K in Tuckahoe, New York. She began her career as a hair stylist in 2001 and has more than 20 years of experience behind the chair. She trained in Albania and continues her education in the United States. Her work centers on bridal hair styling and creative hair color. She prioritizes brides and also styles bridesmaids, and is especially drawn to bridal work, including updos, veils and styling for venues. Before opening her Tuckahoe salon, she worked at Ridge Hill Mall, moving between rotating chairs in a small space. She aims for every client to leave feeling cared for, with client well-being guiding each appointment.
