About
Tunisia Rawanda is a licensed natural hair care educator and specialist with Tunisia's Raw Lounge in Fort Mill. She also assists at The Standard Cosmetology Academy. Rawanda studied at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, and works as a creative braid sculptress.
Her main focus is braid sculptures, each made as a one-of-one braided piece. Her work has been shown in galleries, on stages, at ceremonies and in healing spaces. She is also known for Signature Knotless Braids, which are made with a free parting technique.
She wrote Tressed Oūt, a poetic autobiography. Coaching is held virtually.
