Tracy Bounsing is the founder of Ascent Aesthetics & Recovery. Holds the APRN credential and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC). Across more than a decade, the work has spanned dermatology, plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, including caring for surgical patients through the period before, during and after their procedures. The teaching centers on helping patients understand what surgery involves ahead of time, getting ready for recovery, and recognizing which symptoms are part of normal healing and which warrant medical attention. The working view is that well-informed patients often recover with more confidence and calm.
