Tish Hankerson

Tish Hankerson holds the role of Master Stylist and owns Salon Brazyl. Her training began at 15, when she entered beauty school, and her first hands-on experience came in a salon run by her mother. She then worked as a salon assistant at a busy local salon before earning her cosmetology license. She won awards as the best cosmetology student at her beauty school. Her advanced training includes the Vidal Sassoon Academy and Vidal Sassoon Santa Monica, plus Redken artist training. She is trained as both a cutter and a colorist. Earlier roles include work with the Ulta Salon team, Salon Rik Rak Brickell in Miami, the Chi Farouk hair team at Miami Fashion Week, and artists with Maybach Music Group. Her practice centers on naturally curly hair, and she serves women at every point in their hair journey. She operates Curls and Texture University, an educational platform that offers virtual courses. She also hosts the Wash and Go Brunch, an education event for curly hair professionals, and works with stylists one-on-one as a salon educator. The Wash and Go Experience and the Brunch brought her recognition among influential salon professionals. She speaks Spanish.
