Tim McDowell

Tim McDowell owns Magnolia Avenue Salon and works there as a level 5 stylist. With 35 years in the salon business, his focus is hair cutting and coloring. He trained as an apprentice under Norman Zapien at New York City Salon in Atlanta, Georgia. Earlier he worked on the road with Paul Mitchell and Jean Braa, promoting Paul Mitchell products and education. He also spent time in Paris, France, doing hair and makeup for fashion. He later settled in Dallas, Texas, where he opened his first salon. In the 1980s and 1990s he produced and directed fashion shows, and his hair and makeup work extended to fashion, film, video and still photography.
