Tiffany J. Smith

Tiffany J. Smith practices as a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) and herbalist at The Clinical Convergence in Buda, with 15 years of clinical experience. Before moving into acupuncture, she spent years as a university bench scientist on biological and biochemical research, then close to 15 years in biotech in roles as a research scientist, technical writer, and product and marketing manager. Her academic training is in microbiology, with a BS and an MS, and she later completed a master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after attending Chinese medical school. She has also taught biomedicine, biotechnology, and biology at Texas Health & Science University, St. Edward's University, and Austin Community College. Her clinic work addresses pain and injury, digestive complaints, infections, allergies, skin conditions, women's health concerns, and stress and anxiety, and she also sees patients with other chronic or complex conditions. Each patient receives an individualized plan, and she encourages people to learn how their bodies work so they can take an active role in their own recovery.
