Tiara Smith

Tiara Smith is a certified nail technician at Nails by Tiara in Jonesboro. She holds a Georgia Nail Technician license, earned during a two-year apprenticeship under the owner of Yummy Nails Studio, a Harlem-based nail artist, and she previously held a Florida nail technician license. Her work covers natural nail treatment and acrylic, along with custom nail art and designs.

Her training includes a BA in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Atlanta and an MBA from Strayer University, and she is pursuing a doctorate in business. Before going independent to build a client base and refine her skills in the Atlanta market, she worked at several salons around the area. Outside the salon she works as an animator for children's programs and serves as editor for a puppet program.

She has sketching and drawing skill and a strong understanding of color, and she plans to create her own nail polish line. She aims to inform clients and give them information to help them, and she views nails as a fashion statement.
