Tia Watkins

Tia Watkins founded Glow Strand to Scalp Therapy. She has worked in healthy hair and hair restoration since 2012 and has more than ten years of experience in the hair and beauty industry. She trained in cosmetology at the Paul Mitchell Institute in Virginia Beach and also trained at Empire Beauty Schools in 2012. Her advanced study in trichology and dermotricology took place through Kaypderm Laboratories, where hair transplant surgeon and dermatologist Dr. Nikki D. Hill served as her mentor. The American Board of Drugless Practitioner recognizes her as a trichologist, the SOCAH Center has certified her as a hair loss specialist, and she holds HLPC credentials. She also takes part in community education programs and gives guidance to emerging beauty professionals.
