Thomas Washburn

Thomas Washburn is a licensed acupuncture physician and licensed massage therapist at Self-Care Center in Venice. He holds the L.Ac. credential as a licensed acupuncturist and has more than 15 years of practice, including over ten years at an integrative healthcare practice before joining the center. His focus is chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, neuropathic conditions, arthritis, muscle dysfunction and movement restrictions, with particular interest in problems with functional movement. He offers acupuncture, electroacupuncture, therapeutic massage, neuromuscular therapy, cupping, Gua Sha, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, nutritional guidance and home exercise recommendations. He combines Eastern medicine with evidence-informed therapeutic techniques and tailors each plan to the individual rather than a standard protocol.
