About
Thomas Walker, MD, FACS, is a facial plastic surgeon at Walker MD Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. He is double board certified, as a diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and of the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Newsweek and Statista named him one of America's Best Plastic Surgeons 2026 for rhinoplasty, in a top-40 national ranking, and Castle Connolly listed him among its Top Doctors in 2024 and 2025 in facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology.
His training began with a five-year otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at the University of Miami, where he worked with rhinoplasty surgeons Dr. Richard Davis and Dr. Robert Simons and was appointed chief resident in the final year. He then completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois-Chicago as the personal fellow of Dr. Dean Toriumi, and later served as a clinical instructor in that university's otolaryngology department.
His work includes rhinoplasty, including revision and ethnic, Asian and African American variations, along with facelifts, neck lifts, eyelid and eyebrow surgery, buccal fat removal and facial contouring. He also performs reconstructive procedures such as skin cancer excision and reconstruction, Mohs reconstruction, scar revision, keloid treatment and facial trauma repair, and uses rib grafting in some revisions. On the non-surgical side he treats with facial fillers, Botox and Dysport, and performs liquid rhinoplasty using filler, typically Voluma.
He has published articles and book chapters in facial plastic surgery and has presented research nationally and internationally. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor society limited to the top 5% of medical students, and of the AAFPRS, the American College of Surgeons, the AAO-HNS and the American Medical Association. Patient reviews describe him as attentive and patient in explaining procedures and answering questions.
