Thomas Theocharides, M.D.

Thomas Theocharides, M.D. serves as the OB/GYN and cosmetic physician at Beginnings Aesthetic & Wellness. He has practiced as a physician in Canada and the United States for more than 35 years and has over 15 years of experience in aesthetics. He began his medical career in obstetrics and gynecology and still offers those services. He is affiliated with Monmouth Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Raritan Bay Medical Center. He was the first to introduce Smartlipo to Monmouth County, and he helped set up a facility for laser liposuction under local anesthesia in another state.

He trained at McGill University in Montreal for his undergraduate studies and earned his medical degree from the University of Sherbrooke in 1980. He completed an internship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago and specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. His aesthetic training came from several plastic surgeons and dermatologists, and he has since trained other doctors in advanced techniques for BOTOX Cosmetic and fillers.

His specialty areas include BOTOX and fillers such as Juvederm, Bellafill and Sculptra. He performs fractional CO2 resurfacing and Dermapen microneedling for scars and sun damage, as well as sclerotherapy for spider veins, laser hair removal, and ThermiSmooth and ThermiTight treatments. In gynecology-related aesthetics he offers vaginal rejuvenation, hymenoplasty, labiaplasty and vaginal tightening, and he offers anti-aging treatments using bio-identical hormones. He favors minimally invasive services that use newer technologies and techniques.
