Thomas Crisp

Thomas Crisp is an owner of Balance Hair Spa in Exton, Pennsylvania, where he serves as Creative Director and Executive Designer and is placed at Level 5. He has worked in the beauty industry for more than 25 years and began by opening his first salon right after beauty school. He went on to open and run several salons and spas in the Atlanta region, and he later served as a national educator for Alterna, training licensed cosmetologists and salons on cutting techniques and treatments, including Japanese straighteners.

He works in cutting and color and advises on the latest cutting techniques and treatments. His training includes Vidal Sassoon, Aveda Strictly Business and Alterna Academy, along with Wella Color Training and AVEDA Color Training. He has worked with product lines including Paul Mitchell, Wella, Toco Magico, Bio Ionic and Alterna, and he has attended the Fashion Focus Hair Show for eight consecutive years as well as the International Beauty Show.

As Creative Director, he keeps the colorists and stylists current on techniques and treatments and schedules classes, workshops and trade shows for the salon's designers. Clients can expect a consultation with him when they are new to the salon, where he helps match them with the designer best suited to their needs and gives advice on which looks suit them. He wants every guest to have a good time in his chair and leave feeling good about the result.
