Thomas Casey Gallagher

Thomas Casey Gallagher is a board-certified dermatologist at Boulder Valley Center for Dermatology. His work covers medical, surgical, pediatric and cosmetic dermatology. He is also a board-certified Mohs surgeon, certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He began his training at Harvard University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He then completed medical school and an internship at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a dermatology residency at New York University that included medical, surgical, pediatric and cosmetic training. After residency he was appointed Assistant Professor in NYU's Department of Dermatology, where he trained residents and served as Director of the Residency Selection Committee, and he kept a private practice through NYU's Dermatology Faculty Practice. He co-founded a free clinic for uninsured patients in Manhattan. After moving to Colorado, he co-founded Boulder Valley Center for Dermatology. He has published in peer-reviewed medical journals and a dermatology textbook, and he contributes dermatology content to the Medical Review Board of About.com and serves as a Medical Expert Board Member for Very Well Health. He has sat on the boards of several local organizations, among them the Boulder Valley Independent Practice Association, the Boulder County Medical Society and the Colorado Medical Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the American Medical Association, and he speaks Spanish. Castle Connolly Top Doctors selected him in 2023, and 5280's Denver's Top Doctors featured him in its August 2023 edition.
