Thomas C. Spalla, M.D.

Thomas C. Spalla, M.D. heads his practice, which focuses on facial plastic surgery. For over ten years he has treated patients across the Philadelphia and South Jersey region, working both in a private setting and within academic medicine. At Cooper University he contributed to the expansion of the Division of Otolaryngology and its residency program, and he helped develop curriculum for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Later he stepped away from academic work to open his own practice in Philadelphia.

He gives talks across the country on facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology. He has written more than twelve papers and several book chapters, and he co-authored a textbook on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. His cosmetic procedures include brow, face, neck and lip lifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facial implants, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Botox and dermal fillers. On the reconstructive side he performs septoplasty, functional rhinoplasty, facial trauma repair, Mohs skin cancer reconstruction and scar revision.

He was named a New Jersey Top Doctor in 2023 and listed as a Cosmetic Surgeon on Philadelphia's Best of Philly's Happening List that same year. Metro Philly named him its Best Botox provider in 2023. He is listed among America's Best Doctors in Otolaryngology, was recognized as a Top Otolaryngologist in 2017, 2020, 2021 and 2023, and is placed in Find a Top Doc's Excellence in Medicine listing for New Jersey in 2023. South Jersey Magazine readers voted him a top doctor in 2015 and 2016, and his peers selected him as a Best Doctor in 2015.
