Terry Jacobs

Terry Jacobs is the founder of the studio and is known as The Tropical Make-Up Expert. She moved to South Florida in 1979. Early in her career she learned make-up and the business of beauty while working with Revlon Cosmetics Inc. Before settling in South Florida she worked in the Northeast for seven winters, took a sabbatical in Kona, Hawaii, and lived in Milano, Italy for three years.

She has been a member of Local 798, the Hair and Make-Up Artists Union in NYC, since 1991, and through that membership she has worked on major motion pictures and TV shows. CNN and NBC regularly call on her for live remote broadcasts, and she travels for TV and video productions. She is the official make-up artist for the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders and the Orange Bowl. Her clients have included celebrities and politicians, among them Raquel Welch, Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright, Jeb Bush, LeBron James and Lenny Kravitz.

Miami Metro named her Best Make-Up Artist in South Florida, Allure rated her lessons and products the best in the USA, and Miami Magazine called her The Eyebrow Queen.

Her focus is make-up for people who work under hot lights or spend long days outdoors in heat, as well as make-up for tropical climates. She also offers eyebrow shaping and eyelash services, and designs looks for special occasions and one-time applications.
