Terri Doheny

Terri Doheny is the owner and extension specialist at Terri Doheny Hair, working from Altered Ego Salon in Tempe. She has placed hair extensions for thirty years and focuses on extensions, with much of her work for women who have fine, thinning or fragile hair. She also works as a full-service stylist, doing cuts, color and curl work, including curl cutting and styling. Her training covers a number of systems. She is certified in nine extension and hair loss methods, including as a Great Lengths stylist and a Covet & Mane stylist, and in Dream Catchers, HairDreams, Nano, Evolve, Lohr and Confidence with Crowns. She is also certified in mesh integration and custom toppers, and holds DevaCurl Level 2 Advanced certification in curl cutting and styling. She has placed every extension method on the market. Many of her clients have been turned away elsewhere, and about half come from a previous stylist who would not take on thinning hair. She matches the method to the client's density and strength instead of pushing one brand, and will recommend a different method if hair is too fine for the one requested. Her maintenance schedules keep extensions from staying in past the point where they could harm natural hair.
