Tanya Kormeili

Dr. Tanya Kormeili is a board-certified dermatologist who heads Derm & Rejuvenation Institute in Santa Monica and serves as a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. She trained at that same medical school, then completed a four-year dermatology residency at the University of California, Irvine, and added advanced training in clinical research along with several cosmetic dermatology certifications. Her practice spans cosmetic procedures, medical dermatology, skin cancer treatment, laser and surgical procedures, and Mohs surgery. On the aesthetic side she offers fillers, Botox, non-surgical facial rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments. She has served as a sub-investigator in clinical trials presented to the Food and Drug Administration, and works as an expert and medical consultant for companies that make cosmetics and dermatology products. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, including two articles in the British Journal of Dermatology, and speaks to medical colleagues and the public, appearing on television, in print and online. Recognition includes a 2007 award at the World Congress of Dermatology in Buenos Aires, a Rising Star in Dermatology honor from Los Angeles Magazine's Best of LA edition in 2013, Castle Connolly Top Doctors listings in 2018, 2019 and 2022, and Southern California Super Doctors selections over several years, most recently 2026. She is nationally recognized and has earned numerous international awards for clinical excellence. For injectable treatments, she chooses products based on skin quality, bone structure and the desired outcome, and begins with a detailed health intake and a facial anatomy evaluation before recommending a plan.
