Tanvi Patel

Tanvi Patel, M.D., F.A.A.D., is a board-certified dermatologist who heads the medical, cosmetic and Mohs dermatology work at Curated Dermatology in Bridgewater, NJ. She earned a degree with honors and distinction from Georgetown University, then went on to Weill Cornell Medical College, where she graduated with honors in research. While in medical school she was a Howard Hughes Research Fellow. Residency training in dermatology was completed across New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by further training in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Her background also includes advanced training in aesthetic medicine.

Her practice covers dermatologic oncology, including diagnosis and treatment of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, plus Mohs surgery, excisions and advanced lesion removal. Medical care includes acne, eczema, rosacea, skin infections, rashes and warts. Cosmetic services include BOTOX, Xeomin, JUVÉDERM fillers, SKINVIVE, lip augmentation, microneedling, chemical peels, lasers, PRP hair restoration for early thinning and androgenetic alopecia, and regenerative therapies.

PRP works by processing a small blood sample to separate out platelet-rich plasma, which is injected into the scalp. An initial series of three to four sessions about a month apart is often recommended, followed by maintenance every six to twelve months. With BOTOX, she takes a conservative approach so patients keep their natural facial movement. Treatment plans are individualized around each patient's skin type, history, lifestyle and goals.
