Tania Hassanzadeh, MD

Tania Hassanzadeh, MD, is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon based at the Beverly Hills practice, where she treats the face, nose, eyelids, brows, lips and neck. The practice also provides injectable, radiofrequency and laser treatments in addition to surgery.

She began with a bachelor's degree, graduating with honors in neuroscience from Duke University, and later earned a medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Her training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery took place at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where her research on cleft palate surgery outcomes and on gender and race in head and neck surgery received institutional and regional recognition. Next came a dual fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Boston Medical Center and The Spiegel Center, supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, and she also trained in craniomaxillofacial surgery through the AO North America Foundation. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society in recognition of her academic performance.

She worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine, teaching residents and future surgeons. During her fellowship she won grant funding for a study of human upper lip anatomy aimed at improving lip augmentation and lip lift methods. Her surgical work includes complex, revision and functional rhinoplasty, facial trauma repair, and reconstruction after Mohs surgery for skin cancer removal. She performs deep-plane or vertical facelifts, lateral brow lifts, blepharoplasty, lip lifts and comprehensive facial feminization surgery. Services are offered in Spanish and Farsi/Persian.
