About
Tania Hassanzadeh is a facial plastic surgeon at Hassanzadeh Facial Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, and holds an MD. She completed a neuroscience degree with honors at Duke University, then earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society while at that school. Her training covers otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She also completed a dual fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Boston Medical Center and The Spiegel Center with Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, and did craniomaxillofacial surgery training through the AO North America Foundation. Previously she was an assistant professor in the otolaryngology department at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she taught residents.
Her research has looked at outcomes after cleft palate surgery and at gender and race in head and neck surgery, and has earned institutional and regional recognition. During her fellowship she received grant funding to study human upper lip anatomy, with the goal of improving lip augmentation and lift techniques. She has written peer-reviewed articles, review articles and book chapters.
Her work focuses on aesthetic, functional and revision rhinoplasty, plus reconstruction after traumatic facial injury, and she has expertise in nasal and sinus surgery.
