Tallie Smit-Pearson

Tallie Smit-Pearson runs Urban Skin Works and works as a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist, holding both an esthetic license and a cosmetology license. Across nursing, cosmetology and skin care, she has 29 combined years in these fields. Her entry into beauty was a cosmetology license, followed by 14 years centered on precision cutting, styling and chemical services, with color and highlighting as the main focus. She worked as an independent stylist at a busy salon in the San Diego area. After settling in Long Beach, she continued her education and moved into skin care, working four years as a Professional Skin Therapist before opening her own practice. Her current interests are the science of skin, anti-aging, and professional skin care products, and she keeps up with ongoing skin care education and shifting industry standards. During treatments, she walks clients through what is happening with their skin and works to keep them relaxed.
