Susana Ortega

Susana Ortega opened Bella Medical in 2024, once she had obtained Full Practice Authority. Her credentials are DNP, APRN-FPA and FNP-BC. Her early work was as a medical assistant and phlebotomist; she later delivered in-home care to older patients, then oversaw family medicine and internal medicine clinics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, both from Chamberlain University, and finished a Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2025. Before launching her practice, she held primary care, weight loss treatment and aesthetic nursing roles at a medical clinic in the Chicago area. Her focus areas are primary care, weight loss treatment and aesthetic nursing. Her professional memberships span the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nursing. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
