Susan Bard

Dr. Susan Bard, who holds an M.D., works as a dermatologist at Manhattan Dermatology Specialists. She holds board certification in general and procedural dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Her clinical focus includes Mohs surgery for skin cancer, a broad range of skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and warts, and cosmetic treatments. She earned her medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Her internship in internal medicine was at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and she then trained in a cutaneous surgery residency at the University of Miami covering medical, pediatric, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She has participated in dermatology research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. Her published research appears in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Archives of Dermatology. She has also written book chapters and articles and presented at several national conferences. Her memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
