About

Steven Teitelbaum MD FACS is the surgeon and owner of the practice and specializes exclusively in aesthetic plastic surgery. He trained at the UCLA School of Medicine, completed a surgical residency at Harvard University, and completed residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery. He also trained in plastic surgery at USC, including work on the plastic surgery wards at LA County Hospital, and is board certified in surgery and in plastic surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he teaches final-year plastic surgery residents and runs teaching at the UCLA Resident Cosmetic Clinic and Operating Room. He holds hospital appointments at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center from 1995 to 2006, at St. Johns Hospital since 1995 and at UCLA Center for the Health Sciences since 2006. He was president of ASERF in 2016 and 2017, is a past president of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, serves as its treasurer and legislative committee chair, and sits on the board of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation.

He has lectured on five continents and at international plastic surgery meetings, reviews for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery Journal, has taken part in research trials, and has written book chapters and journal articles. He testified before the FDA Advisory Panel on Breast Implants in 2005. Newsweek's survey of plastic surgeons named him among the best plastic surgeons for 2021 to 2025.

For breast augmentation he chooses the implant type, shape and placement for each patient, and he plans implant problem and revision treatment individually. For face and neck lifts he plans men and women differently, with attention to the neck, jawline and cheeks, and he uses specific techniques in male liposuction to emphasize a muscular physique. Nipple surgery is planned to limit scarring and protect sensation where possible.
