Stephen Van Laborde, M.D.

Stephen Van Laborde, M.D., is a physician and the practice director of Laborde Dermatology in Houston, where he specializes in laser and cosmetic dermatology. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is recognized for his work treating facial wrinkles with Botox. He earned an undergraduate degree in English literature with distinction at Stanford University, then graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he received the Isadore Dyer Memorial Valedictory Prize. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Tulane, followed by a dermatology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief resident. His fellowship in laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology was at SkinCare Physicians of Chestnut Hill in Boston, with faculty from Harvard and Yale University. He serves as a national Botox trainer for other physicians and sits on the National Education Faculty for Botox Cosmetic. He holds staff privileges at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston. His career includes service on national committees, peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national meetings. He belongs to the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society and the Houston Dermatological Society. He is listed as a Texas Super Doctor in 2010 and from 2013 through 2024, and as a Texas Monthly Hall of Fame Super Doctor.
