About
Stephanie Weldon founded Art of Wigs and designs its custom wigs. She has been making wigs for nearly 30 years, beginning her career designing wigs for film and television productions in Hollywood. Across her career she has worked in both the entertainment and medical wig fields.
Her current focus is custom wigs for women with medical or stress-related hair loss, including alopecia and hair loss related to chemotherapy. The studio's website includes testimonials from clients who have worked with her for anywhere from 11 years to almost 20.
She begins each client relationship with a free Zoom consultation. From there she works through texture, color, cap construction and details with the client, then builds the piece and guides them through styling and care once it is ready.
