Stefanie Drozd

Stefanie Drozd founded Express Med Spa in May 2020 and serves as its founder and lead nurse practitioner. She holds MSN-APRN credentials and is licensed as a nurse practitioner in Illinois. Her nursing career started in 2003 as a certified nursing assistant at Palos Hospital while she was still in nursing school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of St. Francis in 2005 and has been a registered nurse licensed by the State of Illinois since that year. Early on, she worked in acute and complex care at Loyola University Medical Center, mainly in oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant, and rotated through the progressive care unit at Palos Hospital. She completed her graduate studies at Loyola, graduating in 2010 as an adult health nurse practitioner. Afterward she practiced at an oncology outpatient clinic and covered patient rounds at several area hospitals through 2019. She then moved into aesthetic medicine after years of acute care and has more than 12 years of aesthetic injectables leadership. Her current work covers injectables, PDO thread lifts and PRP treatments, with advanced training in the latter two. She serves as clinical director, mentors the La Grange team of aesthetic nurses, and trains the nurse injectors on that team. She can serve as medical director for injectables, including Xeomin, Botox, Letybo and dermal fillers, for nurse injectors and aesthetic clinics. The safety protocols she oversees span treatments from Radiesse to medical weight loss. She is a member of the American Med Spa Association and completes ongoing continuing medical education in aesthetic nursing and clinical aesthetics.
