About
Stafford Broumand is the medical director of 740 Park Plastic Surgery and a board-certified plastic surgeon. He trained at Harvard and completed fellowship training in burn reconstruction at the Shriners Burns Institute. His education also includes a medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, general surgery training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, plastic surgery training at Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals, a microsurgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and advanced craniofacial training in Paris.
He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in general surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds New York and New Jersey medical licenses. He has an academic appointment at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he is listed as Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery, and he supervises 15 to 18 plastic surgery residents and teaches more than 50 medical students each year. He served as president of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2014. He has more than 30 years of clinical practice. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 24 or more consecutive years, a Super Doctors selection, New York Magazine Top Doctors listings, and a feature in Harper's Bazaar.
His focus covers facial rejuvenation, breast enhancement, body contouring and reconstructive surgery, with a particular focus on burn reconstruction and craniofacial surgery. He also performs cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers, including the Dermasculpt Microcannula technique, and offers SmartGraft hair restoration. He is known for skill and artistry in facelift results that look natural and rejuvenated. He tailors breast asymmetry treatment and male breast reduction to each patient and covers the full range of breast procedures, including reconstruction after mastectomy.
