Sophie Hard

Sophie Hard is the owner of Sophie Hard Brow Studio and works as a cosmetic tattoo artist in Austin, Texas. She began cosmetic tattooing in 2017 after first pursuing a biopsychology degree at UC Davis before changing direction. She was mentored by Audrey Glass and worked more than three and a half years at Audrey Glass Cosmetic Tattoo in Los Angeles. Before that, she spent over ten years as a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, working on headshots, events and weddings. She moved to Austin in 2020.

Her work centers on nano brows and powder brows, with results customized to each client, and she is known for realism tattooing across microblading, nano and powder brows. She applies powder brows softly and diffused, closer to a dusting of pigment than a solid color. She rarely recommends microblading and prefers nano brows, pointing to hair patterns that look more realistic and a gentler approach to the skin. She also makes custom and flash fine line tattoos with minimal, delicate designs.
