Sonia Rivera

Sonia Rivera owns Inner Spring Wellness, where she works as an acupuncturist and Reiki Master. She is licensed in acupuncture and shamanic healing, uses the credential L.Ac., and has more than 20 years of experience. She has served on the board of the Illinois State Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association (ILSACU), and she holds membership in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Her training was shaped by mentorship with Dr. Randine Lewis, Debra Betts and Giovanni Maciocia, and by extensive study with Matt Callison, M.S., L.Ac. Her certifications cover alchemical healing, advanced cupping therapy, craniosacral therapy, foot reflexology, Reiki at the Master level, flower essence therapy and myofascial release. Her fertility and reproductive health work blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with contemporary reproductive care for both men and women, and she also practices women's health and pediatric acupuncture. Her orthopedic and sports-focused acupuncture addresses acute and chronic pain, athletic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, and her work also addresses anxiety, trauma and PTSD, insomnia and migraines. On the facial side she offers cosmetic acupuncture with microneedling, and her nervous system work includes energy work, craniosacral therapy and Reiki.
