She graduated from Henan Medical College in 1988 and then spent 25 years as an ophthalmologist. With nearly a decade in acupuncture, she earned dual master's degrees in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her specialties are abdominal acupuncture, floating needle therapy and herbal medicine.
