Showanda owns Showanda's Nail Bar and works as a certified nail technician. She began pursuing nail work in 1993 and trained at the Academy of European Nails in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
After training she worked in her godmother's nail salon, then in several other salons before opening her own business. With more than 30 years in the nail industry, she runs the private suite in Crest Hill and welcomes both regular clients and people trying something new.
