Shonna McLean

Shonna McLean founded Bright Sky Aesthetics and leads its clinical team as lead provider, while also working as an injector and laser technician there. She holds board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). She started out as a Registered Nurse in 2000 and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009. Before moving into aesthetics in 2014, she spent over 15 years at the largest nonprofit hospital system in North Carolina.

Her first training in Botox and dermal fillers came from the National Laser Institute in Dallas, Texas. She has since completed advanced neuromodulator and filler training through Aesthetic Medical Educator Training (AMET), two advanced cadaver courses covering facial anatomy and injectables, and intensive laser training with a laser specialist. She takes five or more one-on-one sessions a year with advanced master injectors and completes continuing education in medical aesthetics annually.

Her practice centers on neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid fillers, microneedling and laser treatments. She tends to work with people who want to grow older with confidence while still looking like themselves, instead of following passing trends.
