Shizuka Ishihara

Shizuka Ishihara founded miGak nail art table. Before relocating to New York in 2012, she spent more than seven years working as a nail artist in Japan, and the move was made to broaden her creative practice. She has shown her work behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week and in editorial photo shoots for ELLE and Numéro. She developed a proprietary method for setting natural diamonds into nails. Her clients have included celebrities, members of the Rockefeller family, and other creatives and tastemakers. She regards nails as a kind of wearable art, and her designs are described as refined and technically precise.
