Shiraz Farooq

Shiraz Farooq founded ColoWell America and works as a colon and rectal surgeon and proctologist, treating conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. He is board certified as a colon and rectal surgeon and has practiced medicine and surgery in Tampa for over a decade.

His training includes an M.B.B.S. from Baqai Medical College, University of Karachi (1994-1996), study at Aga Khan University in Karachi (1990-1994), a critical care surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester, NY (2001-2002), a general surgery residency at SUNY Buffalo, NY (2004), and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio (2008-2009). He has received academic awards and multiple gold medals for his surgical skills.

His career began as a general surgeon at Coquille Valley Hospital in Oregon in 2004. He then worked as a colon and rectal surgeon at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, St. Joseph North Hospital in Lutz, Florida, and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, with other roles in Maine and Tampa, before joining ColoWell America in 2018. He hosts the DaBootyDoc Talk YouTube channel on colorectal and gastrointestinal health and medical aesthetic options, and appears in videos on the site explaining EMSCULPT NEO treatment and results.
