Sharon L. Horton, M.D.

Sharon L. Horton, M.D. is a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at the practice, focusing on skin cancer surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery. She received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School and afterward trained in internal medicine at the Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. Her dermatology residency took place at Wayne State University, where she was Chief Resident. She then spent a year in a Mohs surgery fellowship at the Stough Clinic in Arkansas. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, including in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, and had earlier been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She belongs to several dermatology, Mohs, laser and dermatopathology societies as well as the American College of Physicians, has authored numerous professional papers and has given several lectures. At the practice she also offers advanced skin care treatments, such as microdermabrasion.
