Sharon Grasta

Sharon is the owner and operator of Grasta's Beauty and Wig Studio and works as the hairdresser for Rochester General Hospital. She has worked with wigs since the 1960s. In that decade she was mentored by the daughter of a wig supplier, who taught her how to judge wig quality and identify top-quality wig pieces.

She trained at the Continental School of Beauty and at Chadwick's of England Beauty School. She completed an Alternative Hair educational program in November 2002, holds a Certificate of Achievement from Rene of Paris, and completed the FOLLEA Academy Hair for Life training in October 2014.

Earlier in her career she worked as a self-employed beautician at Genesee Hospital for about four years in the early 1980s. She also provided hairdressing services at Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Rochester, and worked for 15 years in an elder care facility.
