Shannon founded Slay Aesthetics and Wellness, where she practices as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing aesthetic and wellness care. She has worked as a Registered Nurse since 2011, with time on medical-surgical units and in home healthcare, though most of her nursing years have been spent in an emergency department.

Her credentials include Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified in IV ultrasound placement, and BLS and ACLS training. In 2022 she completed a Master of Science in Nursing at The Ohio State University. Her training includes courses through Aesthetic Medical Educators Training (AMETS) and Empire Medical, plus advanced instruction from Merz Aesthetics, Evolus Practice and Revanesse.
