Shannon is the owner and hair stylist of Root & Bloom. She began working as a stylist in 2000, at age 19, and her first stylist job was at a salon in Northampton, Massachusetts. Early in her career she styled the hair of Gloria Steinem before a speech at Smith College.
Hair color is her specialty, and blonding services are where her expertise is strongest. Her focus on color developed early in her career. She has attended Redken symposiums.
Shannon works from The Garage in Encinitas and also goes to clients' locations in Encinitas and Carlsbad. Consultations are offered before services, and she focuses on listening to what clients want and working to achieve it.
